A compact, but not small, stallion walked tentatively into the jungle. His Lusitano heritage lent his pelt a dappled gray hue, arched neck, and noble demeanor. His long forelock fell clumsily but elegantly into his eyes, his equally legnthy mane falling to the end of his neck. The high haunches that adorned his body gave his trot a snappy, powerful action that bespoke of powerful bloodlines. His ears flapped back and forth as he slowed to a walk, searching for sounds of the light queen.

Gentle, dappled femme raised her dial and turned. The sound of an approaching equine made her look up, and she saw the stallion from a distance. She snorted and trotted towards him, darker gray mane flowing in the breeze that brought little relief from the stifling sun. Little dust clouds arose where her hooves landed. She slowed a few feet from the stag and whickered quiet, catious greeting. 'Twas White Heather, the light queen.

The stallion nickered in reply. "'lo," he said softly in his deep, oddly musical voice. For a stallion, his voice was rather high, and it held much more depth than others' he knew of. "My calling is Apollo's Lantern," he said to the mare. (( ))

Heather dipped her head. "Pleasure, Appollo. I am White Heather..." She needn't say more. He obviously knew her as the queen. "May I ask why you're here, Appollo?" she asked, her vocals femmine and musical, but slightly guarded. ((double ))

Apollo sighed. "As you can probably guess," the dappled stallion said after a moment's silence. "I am looking for a herd. I have only seen those of the dark alliance here, excepting you, your majesty." Was he overdoing it, calling her 'your majesty'? Should he have just called her Heather? Or perhaps, White Heather? And why, why, did he have to overthink people's motives so much?
((Ickyish...))

Your majesty? She smiled at the stallion, Appollo. She wasn't used to the formal greeting. Well, she wasn't used to interaction... "Yes, the darks are... plentiful right now. You're most welcome to stay here at the Falls. I'll welcome your company." Okay, so she was pretty formal herself. "It's been a while since I've had someone to talk to." she addmitted.

Apollo smiled. "Is it just me," he asked thoughtfully. "Or are we both being too formal?" The smile stayed on his face as he added, "And thank you for letting me stay here. Darks are in too much abundance in these lands."

((Sorry it took so long)) She smiled and nodded. "I don't know what's happening to the lights..." she said, turning her gaze over in the direction of Dark Waters. "My father said that a few of the darks are merly lights frightened into the shadows..." She sighed. Concern for her small kingdom shone in the faes chocalate orbs. ((Ohmygosh... MY MUSE IS RETURNING! ))

Heather's worry was reflected on Apollo's face. His rank was low, his height lower, but his heart was big. ((Speak for yourself... ))

((lol!)) The queens orbs went up to Appollos facade. "I'm sorry.. Spaced out a moment... I suppose you expected a different greeting then this." She smiled faintly.
((Muse! Wait! Come baaack!))

((lol. my other option is cleaning my room. i suddenly have a load of muse.)) Apollo smiled, his facade slightly troubled all the same. "No, no, I'm all right," he replied somewhat vacantly. His tones matched the faraway cast in his eye, as though he was thinking of someone, someplace, very far from the spot in Belleza Falls where he and Heather stood in the half-light filtering down through the jungle canopy. ((more or less, anyways ))

((Woah boy. My muse ish gone... yours ish, well, sucky right now, lol. What are they going to do?))
She laughed softly, a gentle sound, almost musical. "Glad to hear it." She wasn't sure what to do, she wasn't used to company. Although the change was welcome.
