It had broken! The drought had broken! Rain poured from the skys, soaking Heather and Appollo as they raced back to the shelter of their home. Heather let out a trill of joy, leaping into the air and clearing a log. Soon the gentle yet adventerous(sp?) arabian slowed as they reached a sheltered place. "Well, that was fun!" she said. "But now I'm soaked, and freezing!" She grinned at Appollo. The magic coming with the breaking of the drought had been recaptured - After an akward moment that Heather and Appollo realized that in theirexcitment, they had shared a moment feeling close - closer then friends. Heather pushed this to the back of her mind now. She would have time to sort out her feelings later...

((Omg. It's 2 AM and I can't sleep. Let's see if I can squeeze my brain...))
[blue]Apollo galloped in after Heather. In the short hour or so he'd known the light queen, he'd already discerned one thing about her: he loved her. Now, wasn't that just like him? Fall in love with the only equine worth meeting. Meaning, the only light in the whole Dimension. And she was Queen. Just his luck, no?
Apollo followed Heather, though, onto her territorry. As she leaped over the log, he couldn't help but admire her. Now that he knew that he outright loved her, he could admire her guilt-free. He watched as she soared effortlessly over the log. He gazed at her as she ran swiftly across the land. He followed her like a dog, a lovesick dog at that.
He smiled, though, as they reached a sheltered place. "It was indeed fun!" he agreed, letting out a whoop. "But I am cold," he added. A shiver ran up his spine as he dropped tiredly to the ground. "I'm tired, too," he observed.[/blue]
((Whoa. I should RP early in the morning more often!))

((Yeah, maybe, but I don't even want to think about how tired you were today! ;D))
Heather's breath came out in little whisps now. And to think earlier today it had been so hot she was sweating, even under the falls. Subconsiously, she huddled close to Appollo for warmth. "It's good to know the falls won't die completely this summer." she said cheerfully. Her dial turned to his, her green eyes sparkled with laughter and joy.

((Yeah... I was dead yesterday. And I was at a horse show alllll day today, too. )) [blue]Apollo's heart thudded briefly as Heather practically snuggled up against him. He looked at her sparkling, joyful eyes and the same cast was mirrored in his as he replied, "Oh, yes! Uh... do they usually dry up?"[/blue]

She rolled her eyes. "No, silly." she said laughingly. "I was afraid the drought would dry them up. It was a pretty nasty drought." Then, as though she had realized how close she and Appollo were standing (Which indeed, she had,) Heather stepped away and peered into the bleary sky that flashed lightning and growled thunder at them.
((A horse show? I've never been to one of those before. -envys Cookie-))

((Yesterday was my first. It was so fun! I won 3rd, 5th, and 6th in Jumping, Equitation, and Trail. Do you ride?))
[blue]A little abashed at his words--love had addled his brain, perhaps--Apollo stood up and shook out his dripping coat. "I knew that," he said slyly. "No, I didn't," he pardoned himself. He couldn't stand lies.[/blue]
((My brain is OFF.))

((-grabs remote and turns Cookies brain on- Actually, I don't. I really wish I did though. The best I've ever gotten is pony rides. I really should take riding lessons, but I'd have to pay for them myself. I still want to...)) She smiled at him and sighed. Okay, just forget it, you love him! The unbidden thought stuck in her head. She wasn't one to hide from love. She was light, after all... Her dial raised to look up at him, and she slid slyly closer to him, her brown gaze leaving his face.
((Now where's my remote... I think MY brain is off!))

((*Grabs Kailynn's remote and turns brain on* Now, let's see if these things actually work...))
[blue]So close. She was so close. Apollo felt her breath on his neck, felt her body heat warming his very soul. This, he thought, was love. Yeah, this was love. Now he could tell why everyone spoke so highly of it. He knew, in that very moment, that there was no doubt that neither of them had feelings for each other. Gushy, no? But still nice.
"White Heather," the stag rumbled, the words bubbling up from deep inside his chest to escape from his mouth in an excited jumble. "Am I right in thinking that we both know what I'm about to say?" he inquired, already knowing the answer. He hoped.[/blue]

Heather looked up at him, brown orbs glowing. "That you love me?" she breathed, her soft voice barely audible above the patter of the rain. Time seemed to slow, the raindrops seemed to hang suspended in the cool air, the falls a distant roar... "The feeling is mutual, love..." she said softly.

((Jeez... am I really going to have two kings? o.O))
[blue]Joy leapt in the stallion's heart as Heather's words mingled in the damp air and slipped into his ear. A dopey grin broke his lips and words slipped from them: "M'dear... you're right." Any feelings he'd had before about trying to suppress his love for her evaporated as emotion poured out of him. Love, to be exact. In that single moment, Apollo knew one thing, and one thing only for sure: if the time came, they would withstand anything darks could throw at them. They could love. That was it. Love was the most powerful emotion. And Apollo and Heather both felt it. Darks couldn't love. He knew then that he could indeed take anything and everything from a flybite on his rump to a visit from Satan himself.[/blue]

((Yeah, weird. Lol. I should have known these two were going to fall in love.)) The wind howled ferouciously around them, but Heather did not hear it. All that existed in this moment was Appollo and she... This was their moment. Let the rain come down. She stepped forward, bringing her body closer to his, until their chests touched and Heather was nuzzling him, their soaking manes mingling together... ((This should have been a good post. But my muse seems to make love go dry. ))

((All we need now is Sofia/Sorrel and Fire/Threat to fall in love! That last one is less likely...))
[blue]This was so their moment. Let the rain fall? Let the thunder roll! Let the lightning crack! It made no difference. It even made no difference that both of them were soaked to the bone. A fly landed on Apollo's rump and took a big chomp but it was of no consequence. Water trickled down his neck, transferred from Heather's, but it made the moment all the more pleasurable. His heart beat quickly and strong. He felt Heather's, too, beating against his. He nuzzled her neck, gently nipping the end of her mane in affection.[/blue]

((My muse has just dried up and whithered away, so I just KNOW this post is really going to suck. Yeah, Threat dosn't really even know the meaning of love. She merely has a grudging respect for Fire.)) She was perfectly content to stay like this forever, frozen in time with only her love for Appollo and his love for her. Their heartbeats were one, sounding in the same rhythm as the rain. But a part of her, the part that always seemed to speak in her fathers voice, told her that someday they would have to face reality again. Phh. she thought. ((Like I said... ))

((Fire feels the same way.)) [blue]Likewise, Apollo knew he'd have to resurface some time. And soon. The darks were still prowling around, causing trouble. But he was totally, completely content to stay this way![/blue] ((I think I used all my use up before. ))

I'm going to skip RP on this post. They need something to bring them up to the surface. But what?
